Episode 11

Hye Ji moves in with the merry group and shares Ha Won’s room.  She tries to sabotage whatever is going on with Ha Won and Ji Woon right away just talking about how Ji Woon rushed to her aid.  Hyun Min tries to ask if she’s ok, she makes sure to inform him he was a step behind Ji Woon.  Ji Woon awkwardly tries to inquire about Ha Won’s trip home and ends up asking her to take care of Hye Ji.  In the morning Hye Ji is at breakfast with Mrs. B. and Seo Woo shows up then runs away because Hye Ji saw him in his natural unmade-up state.  Mrs. B. is doing laundry and asks Hyun Min about his undies waving them about while Hye Ji is watching and he runs too.  Then Hye Ji brings Ji Woon water after his run and they have breakfast together too.  Mrs. B. informs Ha Won that the boys never changed their behaviors for her, but they are changing for Hye Ji.  Ha Won is not pleased, well she’s downright jealous.  She tries to find her own charm by trying different accessories on in her room.  Then tries on clothing, what happened to the uber fashionable wardrobe that she accepted from Hyun Min last time?  Settling on a cute dress Seo Woo is very taken aback by how different she looks and gets nervous so he calls the other boys in to take a look, which makes her embarrassed.

There is this strange need to finish dramas no matter what that in all my years of drama watching I haven’t been able to shake.  I do try to be a little picky when choosing a drama so that I can, hopefully, watch dramas that I will enjoy.  No matter how careful you are, there is really no controlling how you’ll enjoy dramas.  In my past years I haven’t watched many currently airing dramas, maybe 1 or 2 a year while they were airing.  So I am able to research and read reviews so that I can better understand the drama and what happens in it.  Which has helped me avoid dramas that I might drop.  This year I’ve watched 3 dramas as they have aired and currently watching 3 that are airing now.  So there aren’t any completed reviews for me to read to determine if I’ll want to watch the drama from beginning to end.  Which is the case with A Girl & Three Sweethearts, I watched this as it aired.

Cinderella and Four Knights: Episodes 9 & 10

Episode 9

Ha Won wakes up in bed with Ja Yeong and then she remembers the night before!  The kisses!  She sneaks past a passed out Ji Woon outside of her room and heads to the bathroom and then starts to sigh happily as she remembers the kisses again.  Then scolds herself and as she has a mini freak out about the kisses she slips on the soap and knocks herself out.  Yoon Sung whisks her off to the ER and then calls to send the others home.  Ji Woon is remembering the kisses too and have his own mini freak out.  Hyun Min is having trouble dealing with the moment that he and Hye Ji shared.  Ha Won wakes up in the hospital and is shocked that she didn’t sleep through a week at least or lose her memories.  Yoon Sung has her transferred to the hospital in Seoul because she’s also sprained her ankle badly and needs a cast.  During the drive to Seoul, Ha Won teases Yoon Sung about not being able to hold his alcohol.  He kindly and bashfully asks her to forget that.  Then asks if she was drunk too.  She stutters and says she doesn’t remember anything which of course makes it obvious that something occurred.  

Review: Love O2O

Let me put this out there right away, I love this show.  Like a lot.  It is pure sparkling fluff, but I enjoyed every episodes of it!  This drama was a first for me in a few ways.  It was my first Chinese Drama.  I’ve watched some Chinese movies like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and House of Flying Daggers, but never a drama.  It was also the first drama with more than twenty-five episodes.  Normally I shy away from dramas that are especially long as I’m afraid it will drag and I’ll lose interest.  It was also the first drama in a long time that I actively rearranged my schedule so that I could see the new episodes as soon as they were posted.

It has taken me a little while to get my thoughts in order for this review.  I’m not the most organized when it comes to notes for reviews, but I was especially disorganized with this one because I was spazzing with excitement each episode.  So please have patience with me and this rambling review!

Cinderella and Four Knights: Episodes 7 & 8

Episode 7

The confession and rejection are filmed by the school cameras along with being live cast to the whole school.  Hye Ji and Ji Woon watch Ha Won and Hyun Min together, she’s upset yet again. I really want her to grow a backbone or grow at least a little.  She is such a static character caught in a really bad place mentally, her whole identity is based on her former relationship with Hyun Min.  Ha Won tells Hyun Min that he needs to think, really think about if he likes or not and how he treats his family and women in his life.  Hyun Min is very shook up over that.  Seo Woo is stuck at the school, the fangirls won’t let him leave.  He bluffs and says he sees CNBLUE!  I laughed a lot at that.  He gets away and Ha Won’s BFF, Hong Ja Yeong, yanks him into a room to hide from the hoard.  To get away they devise a plan, Seo Woo will wear Hong Ja Yeong’s uniform and run away.  This scene was flipping hilarious!  I ship these two so much!  I really hope they end up together in the end!  

At First Glance: Love O2O

Can we just take a moment to bask in the utter adorableness of this show?  Seriously, if you haven’t been watching I truly suggest that you do!  I am having the best time with this show.  I hadn’t heard of the book or the drama until I read Amber KMuse’s post urging other people to join her watching this totally fantastic drama.  What a complete shame it would have been had I not taken the time to read Amber’s article!  I would have been oblivious to this drama and that would have been bad!  My life is better with this drama.  Ok, that might be a little much.  But seriously, this drama just makes my heart happy and I cannot help but smile and giggle while watching.  I suggest that you take a moment to read Amber’s post too, she’s read the novel as well and I think she’ll convince you to watch this too!

Episode 5

We come back to the scene in which Hyun Min and Ji Woon are posturing over Ha Won.  Then Seo Woo and Yoon Sun show up and wish her a happy birthday.  Everyone but Ji Woon has gotten her a present so she takes a picture of them all eating together as his present for her.  Mission One complete!  But plot twist!  Seo Woo didn’t match the page correctly, today isn’t her birthday.  He got the day right but the month wrong.  We then see Ji Woon and Hye Ji together, he’s promising to protect her but not explaining what he means.  Meanwhile adorable and loyal and sweet puppy Seo Woo is searching her date book for the right page and finally finds it and discovers her birthday is in May.  Then he wonders why he cares so much?

Review: Age of Youth

Guys… this show… What an amazing show!  I picked this up because my twitterfeed was going insane over it.  I had to see what all the fuss was about.  I came in just after episode 8 was aired so I had a lot of catching up to do.  Which I did at lightening speed.  Every available second was spent watching.  Till I was done with what had been aired up to that point and had to wait each week for the new episodes like everyone else.  That was an extreme form of torture!  It was so hard to wait and see what was going to happen to my girls!    I seriously began to think of them as my girls, I was 300% invested in their lives.  For the first time in a long time I feel a huge void now that the show is done.  What am I going to do now without my girls?  If you haven’t watched this show you really should go and do so now!

 This show is totally cheesy and fluff, but I am really enjoying it so far!  Where the first episode was a little slow, the rest of the episodes have picked up nicely.  Also!  I’ve been invited to join the Squeecaps of Cinderella and Four Knights over at The Problematic of the Unproblematic!  If you haven’t checked out their Squeecaps before I would totally suggest it!  They’re such a blast!

First I want to make some general observations about the show.  The opening with the legos is so cute and fun!  I really enjoy that so much.  I’m really enjoying the music too.  Also, the sound effects when Ha Won is in the arms of one of the knights is cute too!

For a long time I swore off watching airing dramas.  There were several reasons for this, but primary among them was the fact I love to binge watch.  Waiting a whole week for the next episode kills me.  So for a little over a year I refused to join the blogverse in the newly airing dramas.

To top it off I swore off recapping, especially after Oh My Venus, I haven’t even gone back and recapped the last three episodes.  I just can’t bring myself to do it!  But then… I got a wild hair and saw the teasers for Cinderella and Four Knights.  A spunky gal who can actually defend herself and stand up for herself?  Paired with four extremely handsome guys?  A kooky grandfather too?  It looked right up my alley!
