This wonderful gem was created by Indigo of POPdramatic and it’s fantastic! I am hopeful that this will be just what I need to get back into the blogging swing of things. Indigo is on day seventeen! I’m quite excited to participate in this challenge. The lovelies over at Dramas with a Side of Kimchi are also in on the game. They’re on day four!
Below is the Challenge itself! If you’d like to participate just save the picture and join the fun!
So without further ado let’s get started on my Day One!!!
Drama plotline that made you (or nearly made you) ragequit?
There are two dramas that come to mind for me with this question. It was more of a “I give up” than a “ragequit” but Heirs was the first drama that I just couldn’t complete. It wasn’t just one thing, it was the entire drama. The only saving graces for me were Kim Woo Bin and Choi Jin Hyuk, but I couldn’t even bring myself to finish this drama for them! I was just unbelievably fed up with the entire plot, the whole story!
Secondly, Cheese in the Trap. I only made it four episodes through this one. But holy cow… This drama did indeed make me ragequit. I really-really wanted to love this one so much! It had a truly unique and interesting concept and I huge hopes! However, I couldn’t get past the serial killer like portrayal of the main lead. He was a sociopath, at least that’s how he came across to me. And we were supposed to be swooning for the OTP? All he did was manipulate the people around him and was utterly creepy. I dropped this one like a hot potato!
Oh wow! I’ve had writer’s block for weeks. I think this would be nice to start up again. Though, I’d like to participate using my YouTube Channel as well. Would that be fine?

I raged way earlier than the last third hehe, I’m glad that I didn’t keep going with it.

I actually finished both Heirs & CITT! Hated Heirs but felt didn’t hate Cheese, even if I felt Show made some odd narrative choices. My ragequit pick would be I Miss You. So manipulatively weepy, and made so little sense! And how could they make Yoo Seung Ho a psycho?!?

You are made of much stronger stuff than I Chaebol!!! I couldn’t make it through either hehe. I’ve not watched I Miss You, and now probably won’t lol. Yoo Seung Ho as a psycho doesn’t make much sense at all!

Good luck on the challenge! I’m glad you accepted it, but trust me, it’ll be challenging, heh 😉
I think a lot of people ragequit dropped Cheese Trap with all the drama going behind the scenes. I think I only watched 3-4 episodes because, just like you, I couldn’t get over the male lead’s socipath-tendencies and stalking. No matter how complex the character might have turned out later on, he was still a creepy McCreepster and no way I could see him as a romantic lead.
The Heirs was just highly overrated. I didn’t hate it when I watched it, but in retrospect I realized how dumb it was.

Thank you Chingu!! I’ve never joined a challenge before but I’m super glad that I’m in on this!
Yeah from what I saw from other reviews and posts and such it made a lot of people ragequit or watched till the end but left angry and upset with CIIT. I’m glad that I wasn’t the only one to see the psycho-path in the lead, I couldn’t see him as a romantic lead.
The Heirs was so overrated and I couldn’t hang, though I figure I could have managed to watch it all at least for Kim Woo Bin and Choi Jin Hyuk. Though I don’t think I’m missing much!

She was Pretty, Witch’s romance and recently, Oh Hae Young (i am a minority in this). I almost threw out my notebook on these occasions, but i need it for.other stuff. I am.sure there are other dramas, but these are recent and stick out. So i had to watch these shows grating my teeth and utilizing the “snooze” aka fast forward button alot when plot began to lose focus and justify what not to be justified and characters become redundantly annoying.

One think I love about the Asian Drama Community is that we all have so many varied opinions. Personally, I loved Witch’s Romance. But then I’ll happily turn a blind eye to plot holes for a Noona Romance. I’ve yet to watch She was Pretty and Oh Hae Young. Though I have read others were also not as blown away by Oh Hae Young as the majority of fans.

I do confess that i watched Witch’s Romance through the Taiwanese original lens “Queen of no marriage.” Hence, the biasness.
